About Meek Park
Meek Park is at 240 Hampton Road in Hayward, around the Meek Mansion. The lawn on the north side of the mansion, facing Hampton Road, is rented out as the Meek Estate Wedding Site from April through August, during daylight hours only. Weddings there are limited to 200 guests, and alcohol is not allowed. To check open dates, call the Recreation District Office on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Picnic areas can be reserved online, at least 11 days before the date. District residents get a lower rate but need to show proof of residency, such as a current photo ID and a utility bill; the check takes about 30 minutes. Any remaining balance is due 30 days before the event.
If the district has to reschedule, move, or cancel an approved booking, it gives as much notice as it can, and a cancellation is refunded in full, including deposits.
