About Bassett Park

Bassett Park on N. Vineland Avenue in La Puente had the first artificial turf soccer field in Los Angeles County, so soccer can be played here all year. A playground and splash pad serve young children, a skate park draws teens, and picnic shelters with barbecue pits are set up for family picnics.

Indoors there is a gym, a senior center, a computer lab, and multipurpose rooms. Indoor soccer, wrestling, martial arts, cheerleading, skateboarding, and teen clubs are offered, and seniors have clubs and a meal program.

The senior nutrition program runs Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with drop-in hours from 2 to 4 p.m. Splash pad season lasts from the first of May to the end of September, with water on from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
