About Rancho San Antonio County Park

Rancho San Antonio County Park is a 289-acre county park in Cupertino that sits next to the much larger Rancho San Antonio Open Space Preserve, about 2,180 acres. Although the land belongs to Santa Clara County, the park is managed by the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen), which also runs the preserve, so parking details and current information are posted on Midpen's site.

The county park offers both organized and informal recreation. Its hiking, bicycling, and equestrian trails link to the preserve's larger trail network. Bicycles must stay on designated trails and are not allowed west of Deer Hollow Farm. Horses are limited to the equestrian staging area and the Coyote Trail, both inside the county park. Stretching bars are set up at the restroom parking area and at the equestrian staging area, and the park's activities also include picnicking and a model airfield.

The park is open year-round from 8 a.m. until 30 minutes after sunset. The main entrance is at 22500 Cristo Rey Drive.
