About Sunnyvale Baylands Park
Sunnyvale Baylands Park is run by the City of Sunnyvale rather than Santa Clara County Parks. It pairs more than 70 acres of developed parkland, with pathways, playgrounds, and picnic areas for families and large groups, with another 105 acres of protected seasonal wetlands that provide habitat for plants and wildlife. The Twin Creeks Sports Complex is next door.
Visitors come to bike, hike, jog, and walk the nature trails, and the park connects to the San Francisco Bay Trail, a network of about 300 miles of trails around the shoreline of the bay. The Baylands Grove Amphitheater and several picnic sites can be reserved through the city.
The park is open year-round from 8 a.m. until 30 minutes after sunset. A vehicle entry fee is collected year-round, and because the city runs the park, Santa Clara County Parks annual vehicle passes are not accepted; the City of Sunnyvale sells its own season passes. The entrance is at 999 E. Caribbean Drive.
