About Harriett M. Wieder Regional Park

Harriett M. Wieder Regional Park combines a 4-acre developed park with about 30 acres of natural habitat. The developed area has restrooms, a 24-car parking lot, an open lawn for picnics, decomposed granite paths, outdoor exercise equipment, native plantings, a scenic viewpoint, and an ADA-accessible playground with separate play areas for ages 2 to 5 and 5 to 12.

The park was designed to fit its surroundings, with native plants and subdued, artistic materials for the parking areas, walkways, benches, and playground. It is also graded to recycle runoff: rain and irrigation water is captured on site by a bio-swale and soaks back into the groundwater.

The natural area has native plants, a seasonal creek lined with willows, and multi-use trails open to hikers and equestrians. Leashed dogs are allowed, and no fees are collected at this time.
