About Robertson Park
Robertson Park was bought from the Tobin family, who asked that it be named after their relative Dr. John Robertson, an early Livermore physician and the founder of the Livermore Sanitarium. The rodeo stadium was added in 1967.
The park has a tot lot, picnic tables, a restroom building, sports fields, a disc golf course, the Equestrian Center, and a dog park. The 4-acre fenced dog meadow lies between Arroyo Creek and the synthetic turf field and has two water stations; dogs may be off leash there only during park hours, and not during permitted events. A lighted sports complex with two multi-use synthetic turf fields and one grass field can be rented.
Beside the Equestrian Center is the Pole Barn at 3200 Robertson Park Road, a covered pavilion with power, water, a fire pit, and plenty of parking. Because it stands on dirt next to the horse facilities, it is used for team meetings and large events, including ones with pony rides, petting zoos, or other animals.
